Mark Zuckerberg programmes house to never play Nickelback

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, released a video demonstrating the artificial intelligence used to run his house to his liking, which includes never having to hear Nickelback.

In the video, Zuckerberg awkwardly takes us on a tour around his house and shows how the “simple AI” can be used to control all aspects of domestic life, including setting the temperature, alerting him when his daughter has woken up, and putting the toaster on for him.

While sitting with his family, Zuckerberg asks the voice controlled AI to “play some good Nickleback songs,” to which the house responds “I’m sorry Mark I’m afraid I can’t do that. There are no good Nickelback songs”. Zuckerberg goes on to say that it was a test, meaning he programmed it to never play Nickelback.

In a recent blog, Zuckerberg went through the AI and how it works. The blog includes how the house controls the music and shows that his playlist contains a lot of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
