New album, Rebecca Newman – ‘Dare to Dream’ out now

Having started writing songs when she was just 11 years old, Rebecca Newman did not develop the way many young songwriters did. Having spent some time in acoustic pop and hip hop groups, Newman more recently changed direction with the development of a superb solo soprano voice. This switch into classical music led her to a new ambition to write songs that could fit on a more classical album.

The result is ‘Dare to Dream’, an album which not only includes Rebecca Newman singing some timeless classical melodies along with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, but also inserting two of her own compositions in there. It’s the culmination of her ambition, and it’s a testament to her talent in the area that the new songs fit so well alongside well worn songs like Bellini’s ‘Casta Diva’ and Mozart’s ‘Sull’Aria’.

You can hear one of the original tracks, title song ‘Dare to Dream’, here, and the album is available now from various online stores.
