A new EP of music was released yesterday, along with a video to mark what would have been David Bowie’s 70th birthday.
The new release entitled ‘No Plan’ features the single ‘Lazarus’, as well as tracks recorded for the acclaimed musical of the same name.
The songs on the four-track EP were recorded around the time of ‘Blackstar’ for the musical ‘Lazarus’, and were Bowie’s final ever recordings.
The music icon’s 25th and final album ‘Blackstar’ coincided with his 69th birthday, which came days before his death. In the documentary David Bowie: The Last Five Years, it was revealed that the superstar didn’t know he was dying when he recorded ‘Blackstar’.
The documentary aired on BBC2 last Saturday, a day before what would have been the singer’s 70th birthday.
