Multi-talented Los Angeles-based, Nick Isham is starting off the new year with a powerful 2-single release, titled “Just Do It” and “Burned Out”.
Having written well over 1000 songs in his career thus far, Nick’s soulful voice and strong songwriting skills allows him to easily captivate the listener by metaphorically painting a story with every release – and these two new singles definitely broadcast what he has experienced within the last few years.
Beginning with “Just Do It”, a song about best-friends-turned-lovers, Nick states that he wrote this track just two days before asking his girlfriend to be official, “We were best friends for a year. We were laying together, and I turned to her and said, ‘I really want to kiss you.’. She then said, ‘Well then, just do it.”; and the rest is history.
Finishing with “Burned Out”, this track was written alongside two co-writers inNashville. Based on an old flame, “It was about a past relationship that ended right after the 4th of July. I walked into the session with the line ‘Like a firework on the 5th of July’”.
