What Is “Om Telolet Om”?

“Om telolet om” is something you’ve probably all seen/heard,(especially if you’re an EDM fan, but where did it come from and what on earth does it mean?

Well, the literal translation is “sir, honk your horn, sir” and it originated in Indonesia where the the children have a fascination with the bus horns – which do sound remarkably like arpeggiated synths.

When you hear something cool, what do you do? You go on Reddit and Twitter and spam the living daylights out of it – obviously.

DJs were the primary targets of “om telolet om” and they’ve responded as they rightfully should have… by taking the clips, adding a heavy beat and dirty drop and converting them into big horny bangers.
