Pearl Jam’s former drummer expresses fury at Hall of Fame induction

Pearl Jam’s former drummer has taken to social media to express his disgust at the band’s imminent induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

This year, the institution has specified for the first time which members of each band are being honoured – in Pearl Jam’s case this will be singer Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, founding drummer Dave Krusen, guitarist Stone Gossard, current drummer Matt Cameron, and bassist Jeff Ament. None of the band’s five remaining former drummers will be inducted.

On his Facebook page, Dave Abbruzzese posted the following statement:

“So. Rock & Roll Hall of Fucktardia. Ergh. It makes absolutely zero sense to me… I’m just gonna shove this statement up someone’s arse… I’m not sure how 275+ live shows and 38% of their record sales don’t fit their criteria.”
