Queens of the Stone Age release new album Villains

Queens of the Stone Age have shared their new Mark Ronson produced album, Villains.

The album follows the bands …Like Clockwork which was released back in 2013 and marks the group’s seventh studio album. In the build up to Villains, Josh Homme and co. dropped the music video for ‘The Way You Used To Do‘. Stream the new QOTSA album via Spotify below.

Speaking about the importance of the new album, Homme issued a statement saying Villains was “redefining our sound, asking and answering the question, ‘What do we sound like now?’ If you can’t make a great first record, you should just stop – but if you can make a great record but you keep making records and your sound doesn’t evolve, you become a parody of that original sound.

In 2016,  Homme linked up with Iggy Pop for Iggy’s Post Pop Depression record and guitarist, Troy Van Leeuwen, formed the rock supergroup Gone Is Gone.
