Songwriter and actor Alan Thicke has passed away at age 69.
Best known for his role as Jason Seaver on the 1980’s sitcom, ‘Growing Pains,’ it was reported on Tuesday night that Thicke suffered a heart attack whilst playing hockey with his son Carter.
Alan was born in Ontario in 1947 going on to attend Western University at the young age of 16. During the course of his lifetime, Thicke performed a number of Hollywood roles including presenting, songwriting and of course acting. His son, The ‘Blurred Lines’ singer – Robin Thicke, made a statement calling his father “the greatest man I ever met”. Robin went on to say “I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him.” Robin credited his father as very supportive and an inspiration to his music career.
