Spice Girls reunion details have been released

The Spice Girls are set to confirm details of their reunion later today.

A source has told The Sun newspaper that details of a string of 2019 comeback shows will be confirmed by a video clip on social media later today.

The source told the tabloid: “Girl power is back.

“This is the biggest music comeback of the decade and tickets are expected to sell like hot cakes when they go on sale at the weekend.”

The Sun has also received a photo of the group ahead of the monumental return, with Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) notably absent.

The comeback video which came out today features a faux news bulletin of Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton as a four-piece, confirming that tickets for the UK stadium will go on sale next weekend. Watch it below.

The first appearance is rumoured to take place on ITV’s Jonathan Ross Show, for broadcast on Saturday evening.

The Spice Girls split in 2000, reuniting seven years later for a comeback tour, and a final show at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony.

The girl group will kick off their tour at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on 1 June 2019, with tickets for all dates going on sale on Saturday at 10.30 GMT.

The foursome will also perform in Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol, finishing at London’s Wembley Stadium. They will be supported by Jess Glynne.
