SWIMM have unveiled their debut full-length album, Sentimental Porno.
The record boasts a pristine collection of eleven tracks that range from the serene to the full-on psychedelic. Sentimental Porno displays the three-piece band’s diversity perfectly showcasing their meticulous songwriting and free-flowing creativity. Listen to the new album below.
Speaking about the LP’s title and artwork, Chris Hess, the group’s vocalist and guitarist had to say:
“Why this weird album art? While I’ll never call myself an ‘artist’, sometimes as a band we put art into the world. And well in my lowly opinion, anything artistic that is worth a damn takes some chances. (Deep breath) Sex is a common thread through this album. Sometimes vulnerable and beautiful. Other times dark and weird and unfulfilling. Nonetheless, it is one vessel that seems to carry us in and out of the big L bomb… Love. With this album, we wanted to create something that mirrored both sides.
Our dream come true is that our music will make you want to feel, dance, laugh, cry, make love, or think. Not necessarily simultaneously, but please do inform us if this is ever possible for you.”
