Watch Bob Dylan cover Tom Petty’s ‘Learning To Fly’

Bob Dylan has paid tribute to his fellow musician and collaborator, Tom Petty, with a live rendition of his track, ‘Learning To Fly‘.

The performance was recorded during a show in Colorado last night where Dylan covered the late singer’s 1991 classic. Petty and Dylan played together in the rock supergroup, Traveling Wilburys, which also included Roy Orbison and George Harrison. Following the death of the ‘Free Falling‘ singer on 2nd October, Dylan issued a statement which read: “It’s shocking, crushing news. I thought the world of Tom. He was a great performer, full of the light, a friend, and I’ll never forget him.” Watch the clip below.

Since the death of the iconic rock star, many artists have paid homage to his memory. Dylan now joins the long list of musicians to tribute the singer including The National, Jason Aldean, Coldplay, R.E.M., and more.
