During a recent Foo Fighters concert in Brisbane, Australia, on Thursday, Dave Grohl invited a look-a-like on stage to rock out with the band.
Joey, the look-a-like fan, was standing in the crowd holding up a sign asking that he be allowed to play ‘Monkey Wrench‘ with the band. One the band’s frontman caught site of the sign he shouted: “Come on now kid, get up here right now.”
“Are you sure you can play it?” he continued. “The last thing you want to do is come up here and shit the bed in front of 40,000 people in your hometown.” After Grohl handed over his guitar to Joey they launched into the track with the fan doppelganger completely owning the show. “Dave is just one of my idols, and the fact that I got to be in the same breathing space as him is gonna last me for a lifetime,” Joey said to 7 News Brisbane following the event.
