Watch Maroon 5 and Jimmy Fallon busk in disguise on New York Subway

Maroon 5 and Jimmy Fallon went incognito and performed on the New York City subway disguised as buskers.

The uncover clip sees Fallon and members of the Adam Levine-fronted band don caps, shades, flannel shirts and beards as they play songs to promote their latest release. Taking unsuspecting commuters by surprise, the musical ensemble, consisting of Fallon, Levine and the group’s guitarist James Valentine, perform a cover of Queen‘s ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. Fallon lends a hand on tambourine and a dose of harmonica.

After a crowd begins to form the disguised triplet finally reveal themselves for a stripped-back rendition of ‘Sugar‘. Watch the clip from The Tonight Show below.

Maroon 5 were recently questioned about the title of their new album, Red Pill, with speculation that the records name was a reference to an alt-right movement which is associated with the men’s rights and anti-feminist ideologies. The group explained it was simply referencing The Matrix.
