Music Premiere: just Min Debuts ‘Molten’ – a Heart-Wrenching EP of Loss, Betrayal, and Becoming

Music Crowns is proud to exclusively premiere Molten, the debut EP from Korean-born artist and producer just Min—a fearless, soul-baring project forged in the fire of grief, heartbreak, and personal upheaval.

Written during one of the most emotionally turbulent periods of his life, Molten captures just Min navigating the loss of his grandmother, the death of a close friend, and a deeply personal betrayal that left him reeling. What emerged is not just an EP, but a deeply intimate self-portrait: a coming-of-age journey told in whispers, wails, and wistful melodies.

“I was 19 when it all hit at once,” just Min shares. “I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer’s. I found out my best friend and the girl I had been seeing were hooking up behind my back. Then, a close friend took his own life. I didn’t know how to process any of it — so I wrote. That’s how Molten was born.”

Musically, Molten is a blend of indie, bedroom pop, and aching storytelling, laced with a quiet cinematic tension. Drawing inspiration from his transitory upbringing between Seoul and Hong Kong, just Min crafts songs that exist in the liminal—between cultures, between cities, between versions of self. His sound recalls the intimacy of artists like Jeremy Zucker, Joji, and Keshi, but with a lyrical honesty and vulnerability that’s wholly his own.

There’s a lived-in ache to every note. Each track feels less like songs and more like emotional time capsules—each one a snapshot of heartbreak, healing, and the slow, painful shedding of what no longer serves.

But while Molten is deeply personal, it resonates universally. It’s for anyone who’s ever had to start over. For anyone who’s felt stuck in the spaces between who they were and who they’re becoming. “Every song is something I had to let go of—memories, people, versions of myself I couldn’t carry anymore,” he explains. “Molten is about learning to sit with the fire of transformation, even when it burns.”

With over 600,000 Spotify streams and early praise from Wonderland and Notion Magazine, just Min is emerging as a powerful new voice in alternative pop. Molten marks not just a debut, but a declaration: of vulnerability as strength, and of artistry born from honesty.

We’re honored to premiere Molten here on Music Crowns—a raw, evocative debut that doesn’t flinch in the face of pain, but instead turns it into something beautiful.
