Born Alexandra-Isabelle Barrientos and raised in the vibrant suburbs of Western Sydney, ALEXIS makes her official debut with a track that feels like a fresh breeze through the genre—equal parts cheeky, heartfelt, and totally addictive. “Blue Jeans” is a coming-of-age anthem built for car stereos, mirror-singalongs, and spontaneous bedroom dance parties.
“I saw this guy on the train in these blue jeans and instantly felt nervous,” ALEXIS shares. “It had been a while since someone made me feel that way—so I knew I wanted to write about it. Something fun, something flirty, but still so real.”
Co-written with long-time collaborator Tyler Murray, “Blue Jeans” fuses sparkling synth production with a sticky, sing-along chorus and a playful energy that recalls the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Griff, and Maisie Peters. It’s rom-com magic in sonic form—youthful, vibrant, and emotionally sharp.
Now studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, ALEXIS brings a depth to her artistry that’s rare in debut acts. But don’t let this be mistaken for inexperience—behind the scenes, she’s already collaborated with Grammy-nominated and ARIA-acclaimed producers including Dan Gleyzer (BTS, Noah Cyrus), Aidan Hogg (GFlip, The Beaches), Liam Quinn (Peach PRC, Ruel), and ByJaye.
Her infectious sound—somewhere between Conan Gray, Rachel Chinouriri, and Olivia Rodrigo—is what she calls “upbeat sad girl,” and “Blue Jeans” is a perfect introduction: full of charm, vulnerability, and pop polish.
