With the majority of his life spent in Calgary, Alberta, the Sarnia-born singer-songwriter Steve Pointmeier has utilized music as his anchor through a variety of storms. Available everywhere tomorrow, Steve will be releasing his new single titled “Sway.”
“Sway was written by a good friend of mine in the business by the name of Clayton Bellamy. Sway was written by Clayton Bellamy and Steve Fox in (2007). At the tail end of a conversation we were having in late November 2021 I asked if he had any songs I could take into the studio this upcoming weekend. That evening, he sent a couple over,” expressed Steve.
He is a true gem in today’s ever-changing world because of his retro-cool urban cowboy vibe. The raw, unadulterated sound of Steve’s music draws you in and connects you to it in an unforgettable, raw, pure country way.
“Upon receiving them and immediately the first or second song I heard was ‘Sway’, and boy when I heard it and related entirely,” expressed Steve. “I brought the song to Producer Bart McKay, who said that we can do things with this song. And immediately that weekend I started to lay down the foundation of the song.”
