The message of “This Is Why” aims to play on manipulative strategies to make Tucker feel as if she is in the wrong. Throughout each of the lyrics, Tucker spills about the emotional abuse she experienced while being in a non-romantic relationship.

This release is related to the subject of her previous single, “Over The Edge,” which tackles toxic relationships affecting mental health. This single is a part of Tucker’s next album, “Too Close To Home,” which will release soon.
