Yacht Money Releases Genre Crossover Masterpiece with Gabrielle Mooney (First Listen)

With today’s music industry, music genre cross overs are becoming a new normal. Yacht Money‘s new single, “Fire Love” featuring Gabrielle Mooney (Shay’s sister of Dan + Shay) ““Fire Love” is their Neon Outlaw tale of boozy kisses and burning desire told by Yacht Money ft Gabrielle Mooney.

We made a nod to Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, but threw some dusty 808’s and back porch handclaps in there to get you moving,” explains Solomon Olds on the making of the track. “This thing sounds like a fun Tarantino Movie! We want each listener to hear “Fire Love” and find their inner Clint Eastwood and Uma Thurman.

Exclusively via Music Crowns we’re proud to provide you a first listen.

The Nashville-based husband and wife duo Yacht Money co-wrote the track with Gabrielle Mooney and Jonathan Hicks.

Yacht Money penned their name after being inspired by Leo DiCaprio’s iconic character in the feature film Wolf of Wall-Street. They honed their beat making skills in Atlanta and moved to Nashville in 2016 to add songwriting into their production house.

With their magnetic Neon Outlaw sound and unapologetic artistry, the duo wrote, produced, and guested on the Sam Tinnesz dark and brooding hit “Play with Fire” – which racked ip upwards of 100 million streams. Yacht Money also co-wrote Tessa Violet’s hit single Crush which has garnered over 150 million streams. The duo’s track “V.I.P.” can be heard on the Season 3 of the Netflix hit series, Selling Sunset.

“It was love at “first write” with Gabrielle Mooney, who features on our track,” Lauren Olds shared, “Gabby came in and sounded like Dolly when we recorded her, we loved the vintage vibes she was bringing. Meanwhile I belted the last verse out like Boyz II Men was getting hitched to Miley Cyrus.” Gabrielle Mooney’s recently released “Come On In,” and under her pen name Lyrx, she recorded and wrote numerous songs, including co-writing Walker Hayes’ 2018 single “90’s Country.”

As far as the future for husband-wife power team Yacht Money, they aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

We have new music to release before the leaves turn green again. New songs called “Rainmaker”, “Uh huh Uh huh”, and “Happy Hour”. We have a song we wrote for Troy Cartwright called “Hung Up On You” going to country radio on November 16th,” explains Yacht Money. “One of our songs called “Trap Door” was featured in a Blum House film called “Freaky” that’s coming out November 13th.
