AKA and The Heart Hurt Goods is a hip-hop/rock hybrid band out of Olympia, WA whose trademark sound incorporates lyrical influences from the northwest alternative hip-hop scene and musical influences from the alternative rock movement. Their unique sound is generated by the collaboration between classical piano, metal lead guitar, punk-rock drums, blues acoustic guitar, a glitch-style DJ and soul vocals. The resulting experience is a subtly complex, yet boldly compelling sound coupled with profound and soulful lyrics.

After releasing their debut album, Put On Blocks, and going on a west-coast tour, the band has returned to the Pacific Northwest and has been playing weekly shows everywhere between Seattle and Olympia Washington. Subsequently, the band has been rising to the top of Washington college radio stations. AKA and The Heart Hurt Goods have been top three on KAOS Radio for the past several months, and top ten on a number of other college radio stations. While recording another album and planning the next west coast tour, the band has been preparing for a Washington tour with Sublime LBC and playing a number of regional music festivals.
