A year on from the debut release from DJ DSK & Gobshite – “The Dark passenger” – the duo gets ready to release and tour their follow up E.P. and album “Check Out The Technique.” This release is a warm up for their coming full length album which features big artists such as Akil the M.C. from Jurassic 5, Mystro, Bunty Beats, DJ Feva, Chrome, Ill Inspired and Kosal Khiev to name a few which has attracted the support of massive sneaker shop chain Sole Heaven which is now a sponsor for the duo.
This release that was amazingly produced in Cambodia and China with a practically non-existent budget contains subject matters and music which are formed from the pair’s unique surroundings in Asia and also influenced from growing up in the UK around Leicester and Southampton. Subject matter varies from forgotten hip-hop elements, the paradox of paradise and poverty existing alongside each other and venting of modern life’s ridiculous values. DJ DSK and Gobshite are active in all hip-hop elements and it has been an integral part of there life. The pair wanted to show with this E.P. that with determination and hard work no matter what your circumstances or surroundings, hip-hop flourishes so stop talking about it and be about it.
