Ed Sheeran to audition members for his own boy band

Ed Sheeran has revealed to the Rolling Stone that he will be creating a boy band.

Speaking to the magazine, he said he will be auditioning members for the band, which he has already begun writing for. Once he has three or four members he’ll be looking to take them on his upcoming stadium tour. Speaking about the group he said it will be “really, really decent. Superpop, but obviously credible. I’m gonna put three or four boys together and do all the songs, take them on the stadium tour with me.”

Sheeran already has a wealth of experience writing pop songs for others. He co-wrote Justin Bieber‘s number one song ‘Love Yourself‘, numerous One Direction songs including ‘Little Things‘, and Taylor Swift‘s ‘Everything Has Changed‘.

Looking to the future, the singer-songwriter is also planning on writing and starring in a low-budget film. The film, which he describes as being a mix between Notting Hill and Once, will also feature his own original soundtrack.
