It’s been a relatively quick rise over the last couple of years for folk songwriter Philip Murray Warson. Having dabbled in music and acting (including a stint performing at The Old Vic), Warson first started dedicating himself to solo songwriting just last year, and has already performed in New York and been featured on BBC Introducing.
Many artists, no matter how skilled, can take some time to get the attention Warson has enjoyed, but the fact that his swift progression all came from a chance meeting in London doesn’t detract from the fact that this is one talented songwriter.
His grown-up take on acoustic folk, not to mention his multi-instrumental additions to his new EP (out now), show that he is a very strong musician indeed. And it comes as no surprise to learn Warson is enjoying being part of the current folk movement in the UK.
