What was originally a one-man project, created by frontman Leif, Joykill Collective quickly became a pretty impressive six-piece collection consisting of well-seasoned musicians, poets and filmmakers. These guys may hail from a small town of Northampton, but they’re more than ready to make a global impact…and the quest to put their sound on the map began.
Staying up all hours of the night, they fine-tuned and perfected their unique stamp on rock music. They wanted their lyrics to be thought-provoking and reflective that touch every single nerve of prospective listeners and were willing to achieve this by seeking as far as Morocco, China and Kazakhstan for source of inspiration.
During the epic journey, an air-tight friendship developed between these alt-rockers. From a strong bond, came an even more airtight production, filled with sweeter than sweet tones which perfectly collides with the bold presence of aggressive guitar riffs and the equally aggressive and angry vocals, venting the frustrations of injustice in today’s world. So ladies and gentlemen, I present you their angelically bittersweet debut, “Battle Cry”.
