Coming from a musical family, 20-year-old Amanda Loving has always been interested in performing. Her father, David, plays the guitar and she played in a cover band with him. Her cousin, Alex Dezen, has played in bands and now has a successful solo career.
Inspired by her family she began writing her own music. The singer/songwriter from Texas released her first EP Heartbreak in 2015 and is currently working on her second. Heartbreak is an emotional EP in which it’s easy to hear the thought and feeling put into the writing. The EP also gives her a chance to show off her powerful and dynamic vocals.
Amanda works on covers which she posts regularly on her Facebook and YouTube. In her videos, she’s sometimes accompanied by a band and in some, she sings and plays the ukulele.
You can hear one of her recent covers above. She performed a soulful version of ‘Dangerous Woman’ by Ariana Grande. This performance perfectly showcases her vocal range and the control she has over her voice.
