Ryan Adams took over Beats 1 Radio last night for his inaugural episode.
‘The Midnight Wave’ featured music picks from the singer-songwriter as well as discussions with his friends Marshall, Charlie, Robot and Adams. The group play a game of ‘Who Said It: Trump or Morrissey?’, talk about what ‘taking an L’ means, and improvise a song.

Meanwhile, Adams has been promoting his brand new album Prisoner. The 16th studio album from the singer-songwriter has received critical acclaim for it’s devastating candour about the breakdown of his marriage.
Opening up to NME about the new album, Adams said: “I don’t remember being aware of needing to hold back anything. I felt like I needed to tell a story – the story of how I felt or what was happening internally at least, in the truest way possible. It was in the most vulnerable way I could. I wanted to avoid feeling like playing guitar on a soapbox…like some f**king bulls**t about life pains. I don’t want to be that person and that’s not the point of what I’m trying to do.”
