Listen to Old Sea Brigade’s latest single, Love Brought Weight

Old Sea Brigade may be a relatively new project, but the brainchild behind the project, Ben Cramer is no novice. Playing in bands since the 5th grade, he grew tired of acts that (in his words) fizzled out or shifted in an opposite direction of his vision. Going back to the drawing board, he resurfaced half-written songs he done years before, perfected his trademark and, with the help of producer and mentor, Jeremy Griffith (who Cramer met while doing an internship at a local studio), his self-titled EP was produced.

Leading single “Love Brought Weight” perfectly sums up the theme of the EP with the simplicity of crispy light and atmospheric overtones accompanying the acoustic guitar creating a rich Americana/folk tone. Although not a powerhouse, Cramer’s vocals completes the three-minute production with an indescribable magical touch.

Along with the angelic overtones, the EP also features intensely stunning stripped back performances with the strong presence of the guitar, inviting any prospective listener, who truly appreciates authenticity, to hone into lyrics that are profoundly raw and heart-tugging.

After years playing in the background, 2015 is definitely the year for this Georgia-based singer/songwriter to shine. “Love Brought Weight” is now available through iTunes.
