Mooli to Release New Single ‘Automatic’

Electro pop/new wave duo Mooli gets ready to release their new single ‘Automatic’.

Having already captured the hearts of BBC Radio 1 DJ- Pete Tong and BBC Radio 6 Music’s DJ- Tom Robinson; Mooli is back with ‘Automatic’. After remixing bands like Everything Everything and Guillemots as well as supporting acts such as The Horrors and 60’s soul star Geno Washington, Mooli have certainly worked hard to build up their dedicated fanbase- a fanbase that even includes the somewhat unlikely candidate Michael Caine.

Ben Copland (synth/production) returned to his electronic indie roots after a phase as a published songwriter-producer for Universal and Global Talent/Sony ATV-during which Ben was unbelievably successful in America where he was names a Platinum selling songwriter, with two songs on the US Top 10 Albums selling over 1.5 million copies. After former vocalist, Clea, split from Ben following 2008’s ‘Concubine’, Ben found new vocalist Kristina Smith and knew she was something special. Following the pair’s collaboration, Mooli has been compared to the likes of Goldfrapp and Massive Attack.

‘Automatic’ is a slice of electro-pop heaven, with guest appearances from Steve Harris (Archive/Gary Numan) who plays guitar on several tracks and mastered by Pete Maher (U2/The Killers). The bubbling synth introduction hooks you immediately; you’re then forced to focus on Kristina’s beautifully pitch-perfect vocals. The catchy beats and bubbling synth keep you hooked throughout with a chorus that just begs to be sung along to, ‘Automatic’ is set to capture the ears of electro-pop fans everywhere.

‘Automatic’ is released on August 19th
