If there’s one thing that writing for a website that celebrates independent music shows you is that there’s a lot of talent out there. Unfortunately, it also shows that only a small percentage of that talent will ever been seen on the national stage. Which is why it’s so exciting when someone comes along with a genuine chance of making it there.
Naomi, a 19 year old songwriter whose GCSE song was good enough to get her national exposure at just 16, is just such an artist. Not only is she being touted by national papers, magazines and radio, but she has the power of three (count them) experienced producers honing her songs into perfect little nuggets of pop.
Exhibit A: The video above, ‘Take Back the Power’. The EP of the same name is out April 22nd, and should be high on the list of pop fans looking for something new.
