A scuzzy, indie track with a buzzing energy and a subtly catchy melody or two, ‘Wisdom of Crowds’ is the new single from independent songwriter Prints Jackson.
Layering electronic touches over a light rock instrumentation, the sound is reminiscent of US band the Postal Service, with its pressing tempo and a vocal that switches nicely from chest to falsetto at various points. It’s an indie song at heart, but it finds strength in deviating from the formula, making for an impressive new single from the Wales based Jackson.
Perhaps even more impressive, this is the 19th single he has released in the last 19 months. Vowing last year to release a new sing every month until ‘the day I die’, Jackson has worked hard in the meantime to stick to his tight schedule and keep up the quality. And these aren’t just tracks which are thrown up on Soundcloud every four weeks. These are fully fledged, independent single releases, coming like clockwork with full videos, artwork and all the trappings.
