Pale Waves drop new sun-drenched banger ‘There’s a Honey’

Pale Waves are messing with our heads again. The re-emergence of the Manchester four-piece has prompted fans everywhere to stick their pasty faces out the window, searching for those glorious summer rays. The band’s sun-drenched indie may be synonymous with everyone’s favourite season but sadly, it’s not quite that time of year yet. Fortunately, with their new track banger ‘There’s a Honey’, we can certainly pretend.

Having kicked off the year in an impressive fashion by signing to the Dirty Hit record label (The Japanese House, Wolf Alice), Pale Waves look set to continue on that upward trajectory. The latest case in point being the new single, for which they’ve cleverly enlisted the help of new label mates The 1975. Pioneer’s of production Matt Healy and George Daniel give the band’s DIY indie a glossy makeover, adding their signature sepia-tinted guitar tones and squelching 80s synths to the blue-skied melodies Pale Waves are so well-versed in. It’d be disingenuous to give all the credit to the duo, but there’s no denying they’ve played a big part in taking the Pale Waves’ sound from infectious, to downright irresistible.
