PJ Harvey has shared unreleased track ‘Dance On The Mountain‘.
The previously unheard song was used for recent BBC Radio 4 drama ‘On Kosovo Field’.
As well as the new track, you can view a page from Harvey’s famed notebook, featuring hand-drawn poetry and notes inspired by her trip to Kosovo with photographer Seamus Murphy. Following the release of P J Harvey’s album Let England Shake, the pair travelled through Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington DC to explore ideas of conflict and power in the 21st century.
This page inspired not just ‘Chain Of Keys‘ on Harvey’s latest LP ‘The Hope Six Demolition Project’, but also ‘Zagorka’, one of the poems in Harvey and Seamus Murphy’s ‘The Hollow Of The Handbook’, and was used as the “central inspiration” for ‘On Kosovo Field’.
Michelle Keegan and Nico Mirallegro star in the series as Kosovo-born, Manchester-raised siblings returning to Kosovo after a mass grave is discovered near their native village.
