If you hear that a song is about the dangers of daily drinking, you might expect it to be a bit of a downer. However, thanks to the growly blues style employed by RJ Comer on new track ‘Nightly Suicide’, this track isn’t as downbeat as you might expect.
OK, it’s not exactly an upbeat pop hit in the making, but it’s oddly catchy and very well put together. Keeping a light rhythm throughout, Comer spins a strong tale about nights lost at the bar, and actually makes it into a relatable ditty as opposed to a preachy warning.
