The Corrs live at Epsom Racecourse

On a blustery Thursday evening at Epsom racecourse the last race had been run, but that was just the warmup to the main event, that saw Irish band The Corrs take centre stage and belt out their greatest hits.

Taking to the stage, the wind was evident from the start with their hair being windswept (not in Jim’s case!) and they burst into their latest track, I Do What I Like. The crowd had swelled in no time, from the stands to where the stage was situated, the venue was heaving and the crowd enjoying the vibes and seeing the sun set to create a beautiful ending to the day.

Andrea had boundless energy jumping and pirouetting throughout the set with Jim and Sharon charming the crowd with their wondrous musical talents and encouragement to clap and Caroline bashing the living hell out of the drums to the enjoyment of the crowd.

The Corrs showed all their experience is priceless even after taking a break for a decade, they still know how to work the crowd and give the crowd a real insight to Irish and folk music while mixing it in with their most popular records including Breathless, In Blue, Runaway and Radio.

Having seen them at the o2 on their White Light tour this performance was just as exceptional as the chemistry and boundless enthusiasm bounced off each other delivering a high class and polished performance.

The majority of the crowd may have been lighter in the pockets, but that didn’t deter the uplifted mood having witnessed a great show that was brought to a close by their traditional Irish song Toss The Feathers that had everyone clapping and smiling. Watch the track above that was filmed at Hyde Park this summer and I’m sure you will agree it is a bit of a cracker!
