‘The Rebelz’ was created by MC Justin Murta, Christopher Webb and Jairus Green aka “Professor Icee” in 2001. Together, they have impacted the Hip Hop Community greatly through their enthusiasm and dedication to developing the Hip-Hop community worldwide. The Rebelz represent all four elements of Hip-Hop: emceeing, deejaying, b-boying and graffiti art.
The Rebelz have been featured on NBC’s “HipHop Nation”, Fox News, ITVNW & MTV2. Their album “Operation Dark City” debuted at #7 on 101 Distribution Sales Charts and moved to #1 for several weeks and all albums have been played on hundreds of radio programs across the US. Over the past 5 years they performed over 1,000 live shows at festivals, schools and venues all over the world, including US, Japan and China.
For the past year Justin Murta and Jairus Green have been greatly involved in expanding the Hip Hop Culture in Vietnam. They have performed with artists such as Killa Kella, DJ Premier, DJ Cash Money and DJ Yoda. The Rebelz keep the audience on their feet and moving with their energetic stage performance and incorporation of breakbeats and bboying. The Rebelz can perform with live bands or with a DJ. The Rebelz can to do Hip-Hop covers, remixes of all your favorite Hip-Hop tracks from old school to new school or original song… Whatever Hip-Hop music you want to hear, The Rebelz can make it happen!
