The album is a mash up of the influence 50 years of music from Jamaica Bringing in influences from soul to grime on an English reggae backbone, ‘Out My Mind’ brings elements of everything from ska to dancehall played in the style and fashion of four young friends from London that exudes the energy of their sell out live shows.

The band have had considerable radio success, with key supporters such as Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2/6 Music), Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1) and Mike Davies (BBC Radio 1) playing their offerings. They have recorded two sessions for BBC Radio 1.

The Skints have toured relentlessly across the UK and Europe with the likes of Bedouin Soundclash, Gym Class Heroes, Sublime, You Me At Six, and The Slackers as well as making many, many festival appearances including BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekender, BT Olympic event in Hyde Park and the legendary Reading and Leeds. They have also played festivals in Thailand and regularly tour France where they are becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Every date of The Skints headline UK tour last year was sold out including The Scala in London. The re‐issue of ‘Part & Parcel’ is in honour of The Skints biggest headlining national tour, which kicks off in May with a notable date at London’s legendary Koko.

“Whereas most bands at the minute seem to be jumping onto some gravy train or other, The Skints’ mix of reggae, dub and punk stands out like a sore thumb of originality.” Music Week, 2012 “The Skints have emerged from the city armed with bittersweet tales about the capital. They are a modern day dub, reggae and hip hop inspired classic band.” Rocksound, 2012
