Watch as Mariachi band entertain elderly care residents

Having to see a loved one enter a care facility is something no one would like to experience. We would like to hope it is not just a place to stay but a place to live and be well looked after. Some facilities have shown they are committed to making their residents experiences enjoyable and fulfilling ones.

One way to do this is by not only treating their physical problems but also helping stimulate them emotionally. Music therapy is an increasingly popular method of treatment to do just this. It has proved effective in helping children and those with mood disorders, and dementia.

The Mariachi Estrella band decided to volunteer time out of their day to play music for the residents of a hospice. The Los Angeles band played their upbeat songs for the elderly men and women in the care facility. They obviously enjoy the energetic performance as they dance and clap along.

The band also play for young disabled people in an effort to keep spreading fun and helping in whatever way they can.
