A new trailer for FKA Twigs’ upcoming documentary ‘Baltimore Dance Project’ has surfaced online. The former backup dancer taught free classes alongside her choreographers back in July, taking place at Baltimore’s Lithuanian Hall, to “intermediate and advanced” level dancers from ages 18 and over.
The Baltimore Dance Project workshops were captured for the documentary and cuts of the performances appear in the new teaser trailer. Twigs can be heard, in the black and white footage, saying, “When things are difficult, art always flourishes,”. The short, ambient 35-second clip captures the raw emotion of the dancers beautifully and constructs a euphoric feeling of power and strength from within.
