We liked the track so much, we’ve come back to talk about the video. Zeroz’s anime-inspired noise rock is making it to the small screen with a video that perfectly integrates with that brief.
The video sets itself out in the depths of space on a futuristic, fantastical ship. Never one to take themselves too seriously, their sense of playfulness, alongside the green-screening, depth perception and on-screen editing, makes it feel like a live-action anime.
As a teaser to their upcoming album, I don’t think we should be surprised if we see this style make a comeback in future music videos, making something of Zeroz’s cinematic universe following some of the story points and characters that are alluded to in the ‘Star Kill Lovers’ video.
