Watch barbershop quartet cover ‘It Wasn’t Me’ by Shaggy

A cappella group, Afternoon Delight, have released a humorous cover of the 2000 chart-topping song, ‘It Wasn’t Me‘.

The video starts with a reenactment of the original with the guys discussing one of their partners catching them cheating and then another suggests he denies everything. They then burst into their melodic rendition of the chorus. The casual backdrop, the dress of the band, and the way they speak all make the video unexpectedly hilarious. One of the members keeps the amusement up by adopting Shaggy‘s singing technique.

The Manchester-based quartet have had great success with their cover and have gained credit from the likes of Jonathan Ross. They continue to cover all types of songs and put their humorous spin on them all.
