Scottish hip hop outfit Stanley Odd have stormed their way into the iTunes Alternative Charts with new single ‘Son I Voted Yes’ ahead of their upcoming appearance at the ‘A Night for Scotland’ event at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh on Sunday 14th September.
The Scottish independence referedum-based single is available on iTunes here after overwhelming public demand from the ‘Yes’ camp, who took the song to heart as it garnered over 46,000 Youtube views in as many hours from politically charged fans.
Stanley Odd appear at the ‘A Night For Scotland’ concert alongside worldwide triple platinum Scots rockers Franz Ferdinand, titans of noise Mogwai, cult indie-rock band Frightened Rabbit, McIntoshRoss – a collaboration between Lorraine McIntosh and Ricky Ross, folk icon Eddi Reader and Scottish actress and comedian Elaine C Smith – all coming together at one of Scotland’s grandest venues to show their support for the Yes campaign in the countdown to the referendum.

The number of people inspired by the debate and the possibilities for positive change that an independent Scotland offers is something that should be celebrated.
