Future Plans Interview With: Dangerouz

Dangerouz

DJ and Producer Dangerouz has quickly established himself as one of America’s hottest new talents since exploding onto the scene, thanks to his infectious and energetic Electro bangers. With records such as ‘Kingpin’, ‘Police Raid’, ‘Brenessy’ and ‘Dynasty’ under his belt, it’s no wonder he has been grabbing the attention of many of the industry’s heavyweight labels.

As well as spending vast amounts of time in the studio cooking up the freshest new beats on the scene, Dangerouz can be found supporting legendary names like Alex Peace in the clubs. We caught up with Dangerouz to talk about his future plans.

Hi Dangerouz, thanks for taking time to answer these few questions. For those who aren’t familiar with you, can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Hey guys – thanks for having me! I am a producer from South Texas, most people know me for my early single “Candyman” while others may know me for my latest album “Corrupted”. I’ve been a producer professionally for 2 years now and a DJ for 6 years.

Your latest record New Life, a collaboration with ElectroWeb, was released on Grimey Grooves Records? Can you tell us a bit about how you signed the record with them and how successful has the track been?

ElectroWeb and I decided it would be best for Grimey Grooves to release it and I have a very strong relationship with everyone at the label. So far I’ve seen a lot of support from various artists and it is probably one of my favourite tracks!

Can we expect to see any more upcoming tracks with ElectroWeb and Grimey Grooves?

Absolutely! I am putting together a nice remix compilation and ElectroWeb is one of the remixers. I also have some forthcoming releases with Grimey scheduled for 2016.

How has your time been in the studio lately and can we expect to see plenty of new Dangerouz music soon?

I am currently trying out a few new things as I am trying to get in improve my Hip-Hop productions. I have a few new tracks in the works featuring some local rappers and it’s coming along very nicely. It is geared toward an audience who likes Trap.

Are there any labels and producers that you would love to collaborate and work with in the future?

I have always wanted to work with Big Fish Recordings! I’ve been a huge fan since I started DJing. I think working with Lazy Rich or Far Too Loud would be pretty dope.

In terms of touring and gigging, do you have any upcoming shows in the works?

Unfortunately I have no upcoming live performances at this time. Most of my time is being spent in the studio working on future releases.

How is your radio show progressing at the moment?

Mayhem is growing so fast it’s crazy! A lot of artists are coming my way, asking for a spot as the guest mixer. I understand how hard it is out there for some newer DJs to land a guest mix spot so I am more than happy to help. The music is always banging…

What would be a dream booking for you?

EDC Mexico – for some reason it seems like it would be a dope experience. Las Vegas would be nice too.

If you had to choose one country to go on tour, where would it be?

Right now the way things it would have to be the United States. The scene is getting huge out here and there are new shows everywhere.

Is there anything else exciting that is coming out of the Dangerouz camp in the upcoming months?

A lot more Hip-Hop and Trap records are on the way. I am also very pleased to announce I will be starting my own website!

Where do you see yourself as an artist in 12 months time and what does the future hold for Dangerouz?

The future looks bright. I will be producing a lot more and hopefully playing more live shows. Only time will tell…
