Yorkshire flatcap banjo punks Shanghai Treason have been kicking up a reyt ruckus in the UK.
They have supported the likes of Buzzcocks, Stiff Little Fingers, Ferocious Dog and The Rumjacks and have been taking the grassroots festival scene by storm.
Shanghai Treason release their fourth single ‘Hero’s Welcome’ which tells the TRUE story of one of the bands great grandfathers; who escaped a Prisoner of War camp during World War Two.
‘Hero’s Welcome’ opens with the unique twangs of the banjo before Shanghai Treason deliver lyrics that convey a historical tale which is guaranteed to move our emotions.
