Listen to Avicii’s first posthumous song ‘SOS’, featuring Aloe Blacc

The first song from Avicii’s upcoming posthumous album has been shared.

Featuring vocals from Aloe Blacc, ‘SOS’ is set to appear on the late Swedish DJ’s upcoming album, Tim. Listen to it below.

Speaking about the new collaboration in a statement, Blacc said: “I feel like ‘SOS’ was a song that was probably ahead of its time for when he wrote it. He wrote these lyrics obviously about some of his battles and I think it’s a really important topic to approach and to share, especially with his visibility and his access to ears and hearts. To give people the words to be able to say ‘I need help.’”

On April 20th last year, Avicii was found dead in his hotel room in Oman.

It was later confirmed that the 28-year-old Swedish musician had taken his own life.

Details of the upcoming posthumous release came from Avicii’s family last week (April 5th).

Tim is set to drop on 6th June, featuring tracks that Avicci, real name Tim Bergling, was working on before his death.

Collaborators involved with Tim, who had been working with the Swedish musician before his death, assured in a statement that they had “continued the process to get as close to his vision as possible”.

Net proceeds from the upcoming album will go to the recently launched Tim Bergling Foundation, a non-profit set up by Bergling’s family to focus on mental health support and suicide prevention.
