Azealia Banks is once again in hot water after a series of remarks aimed against Rihanna for disagreeing with Donald Trump‘s immigrant ban.
The hot-headed rapper saw red when Rihanna took exception to the new US President’s executive order blocking immigrants from Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Somalia and Libya from entering the States.
In a post that has since been removed from Instagram, Banks raged: “You don’t get to show up in another man’s country, kill his young, his wives, ruin his home and think a peace talk is going to be the end of it. ITS NOT. There’s absolutely no way to end this war but to finish it ourselves. It’s TERRIBLE, do I agree with it, NO, do I personally like what’s happening, NO! But I can say that as an American who enjoys her safety and overall ability to maintain a certain level of ignorance… I am 100% shook about open borders and would be reallllllllllllly scared for my self and my family if parts of that war began to become real on my soil.”
Turning on Rihanna, she continued: “As far as Rihanna (who isn’t a citizen, and can’t vote) and all the rest of the celebrities who are using their influence to stir the public, you lot really REALLY need to shut up and sit down.”
Rihanna responded immediately with a post of her own, adding the caption “The face you make when you an immigrant“, and making fun of Banks’ recent witchcraft controversy with the hashtags #stayawayfromthechickens, #iheartnuggets and #saveourhens.
Banks then responded by screenshotting Rihanna’s photo and writing, in a post that has since been deleted: “what Rihanna meant was… I GREW UP PLAYING SOCCER IN A DIRT YARD WITH A COCONUT AND OPEN MY LEGS FOR ANY AND EVERY MOTHERF**CKER WHO I THINK I CAN GET TO WRITE ME SONGS OR BUY ME DRUGS. I CAN BARELY PERFORM BECAUSE I LINE MY BROWN BLUNTS WITH CRYSTAL METH AND AM OFTEN VERY WINDED ONSTAGE.”
She then posted Rihanna‘s phone number… the ‘Umbrella’ singer is apparently yet to respond. Watch this space.
