Ci Majr drops her long-awaited debut EP ‘Side Effects’

Atlanta’s rising star Ci Majr has finally released the debut EP ‘Side Effects’, taking her scintillating sound to even greater heights. Having kicked off the year with the well-received anthems ‘Summer Drug’ and ‘Guillotine’, both tracks are now featured on the new 5-track project alongside lead single ‘After Midnight’, which marks her best offering to date. Championing infectious melodies, shimmering synths and agile vocals, Ci Majr creates upbeat and youthful pop flooded with authenticity.

Speaking about her new EP, Ci reveals: “By late summer of 2020, I had about 20 demos and realized it was time for me to put out my first project. I talked to my friend Féz about it who helped me narrow it down to 5 and he agreed to produce the project. It’s really cool because Féz even described how there are some musical themes and instruments he used to tie it all together and I just love how it truly feels like a very well rounded body of pop songs. The visuals were also a very important part of creating the EP. I found Maggy Swain on Instagram and she just had this ethereal/dreamy style of photography that is just so eye-catching and gorgeous.”

Ci Majr first arrived onto the scene in 2016 with her debut single ‘#CuffinSZN (Demo)’, which landed a place on Spotify’s notorious ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist. Her 2019 collaboration ‘Wiggle Room’ with producer Benji Reyes has racked up over half a million streams to date, and Ci Majr has gone from strength to strength with each new release, with ‘Side Effects’ showcasing her artistic evolution and undeniable potential. Her writing tells relatable stories of multidimensional love, capturing the candid essence of her lyricism. This is an artist poised for greatness.
