Delivering a completely idiosyncratic sound, singer-songwriter Curse of Lono has revealed his dark new single ‘So Damned Beautiful’. The alt-pop, folk-influenced single arrives in time for the spooky season, as it offers haunting melodies and eerie lyricism. Featuring the vocals of Tess Partner, this duet tackles the deeply personal loss and suffering that Curse of Lono has endured in recent times.
Discussing the new release, he revealed: “I wrote the song from the point of view of the guy, who I didn’t know, of that dirty weekend, and that overdose. When you OD on heroin you do feel pretty great until it goes wrong, so that stuff came back into the picture.”
