DOVE-i releases honest new single “The Revolution”

DOVE-i- are a duo that are trying to make a social change through their music. The masterminds behind the collective are Thomas Verovski and Bastide Donny. Both musicians individually bring their own ideas to the musical table, creating a unique and signature sound when merged together. The duo are growing musically every day, and they’re willing to push their music and collaborations as far as it will go.

Their signature and warmly-received sound can be found on their latest release “The Revolution.” The single is an empowering offering, with talented rapper Rioux V’s to be heard on top of a colourful, instrumental canvas. The release addresses the hard-hitting and powerful BLM movement and is accompanied by an equally powerful music video (which can be found here.)

Speaking about “The Revolution”, they share: “The text of the song is inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement. But for the video, we wanted to go beyond this message and make the subject more universal. We imagined “The Revolution” as a resurrection. The video takes place in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, a land of concrete, deserted and without color. The few survivors wander around in rags, dying out one after the other. From the ashes of this civilization, hope is reborn in the form of a woman. Through a series of choreographed scenes, the message of hope spreads among the survivors. It is a unifying wind, a breath of revolt, but also of harmony and unity.”

Their music is impactful and inspiring, and with an upcoming album on its way, DOVE-i- might be the fix the world needs in 2023. The new album aims to showcase a resilience through art, and the songs address deep questions such as inner metamorphosis, artistic questioning, love renewal, identity, richness of the differences and the Earth that we leave to the future generations…
