Drake “declined with thanks” after offering to talk to suicidal man

Drake was “declined with thanks” by police over the weekend, after offering to talk a suicidal man down from a Manchester bridge.

The Canadian rapper-come-superhero was apparently caught in traffic caused by a man standing at the top of Mancunian Way bridge, when a member of his entourage left the tour bus and approached police at the scene: “One officer was approached by a male from a tour van caught up in the traffic congestion, claiming to be part of Drake’s entourage,” said Inspector Phil Spurgeon of the City Centre Integrated Neighbourhood Policing Team, “He offered for Drake to speak to the man on the bridge, if that would help. The offer was declined with thanks.”

The man was reportedly brought down safely by police officers.

Drake treated his crew to £500-worth of Nando’s after a show in Leeds earlier in the tour, according to reports – apparently ordering nothing spicier than a medium heat from the menu.
