Eyeconic and Shakk release garage track ‘it’s a vibe’

Teaming up for a brand new collaboration, rising UK artists Eyeconic and Shakk have revealed their new single ‘it’s a vibe’, accompanied by a music video directed by Kraken Cinematic. The Middlesborough-based rappers bring energetic bars and a catchy hook to the nostalgic garage track, influenced by the late 90s/early 00s UKG sound.

Discussing the release, Shakk shares: “During a period of feeling low and uninspired during lockdown, I spoke to Eyeconic on the phone, and we discussed how we missed the thrill of performing live, which sparked the idea for this song. Inspired by the UK garage comeback, we felt it would be the perfect foundation to make something that encapsulated everything that makes the British music scene fun, energetic and diverse.”

Already gaining support from the likes of The Game, Jaykae, Kamikaze, The Mouse Outfit and BBC Introducing, Eyeconic is a rising act on the UK scene. Shakk has performed at the likes of the O2 Academy and been shortlisted for Performing Artist of the Year at the 2021 North East Culture Awards. Both rappers are ones to keep your eyes on and we’ll certainly be rinsing their new track ‘it’s a vibe’.
