Green Day showed once again they’re the good guys of punk rock this week as singer Billie-Jo Armstrong invited a disabled fan onstage at their London show this week.
The veteran punks were playing at the O2 Arena as part of their 2017 UK and Eire tour when Armstrong spotted the fan, Rachel, in the crowd, during a performance of ‘Knowledge’. He invited her to join him onstage and later gifted her his guitar. You can watch footage of the gesture below:

It was recently announced that supports for the band’s summer Hyde Park show will be fellow US punk stalwarts Rancid, along with Gogol Bordello, The Hives, The Living End, Beach Slang, SWMRS, Sunflower Bean and Public Access TV.
